It was once suggested to me that Gollum is in fact a throuple between Gollum, Smeagol, and the Ring. Though I’d say the Ring is in more of an “open-relationship” sort of thing, and is ultimately trying to get back with their ex.
Also the relationship is really in an “it’s complicated” thing. Remember, “Gollum loves and hates the Ring, just as he loves and hates himself.”
