I wonder how much of all these arsons is the media just paying attention to them for the first time or if there is actually a rise in arsons, especially against corporate warehouse. Like, after that derailment in East Palestine we started hearing about every derailment for awhile but they were apparently not happening in unusual amounts.
Saw someone say there’s ~3000 warehouse fires a year so I think you’re correct unless we see more livestreams.
We’re any of the other fires accompanied with a TikTok video?
Just the first one, the Ontario guy lighting up toilet paper afaik
Maybe? I don’t think so but I certainly could’ve missed it. I guess what I’m getting at is some statistics on this topic would be really enlightening.
I’m not sure this one is arson. There are already at least 1 warehouse fire a day in the US normally.
Another warehouse fire?! We have got to do something about all these uppity extortionary arsonists!

Actually this, and probably all but the first, were because of a lack of regulation and proper investment in fire safety/suppression…
Oh…well…very good then. Carry on
Warehouses do literally just do that as has been pointed out whenever stuff like this gets posted since the one and only intentional one that we’re aware of. Please be curious and don’t just post anything and everything. Multiple warehouse fires happen in the US every day, this isn’t a new trend.
Yep. Literally what is going on is that people are paying attention to it right now and asking the very valid question if this is how things should be.
So the question is: how is capitalism to blame for this and what can we tell someone who brings it up?
Yeah HB should be better than doing the irritating Tuckeresque
“what is going on!!!?!?!?!” Shit
tucker carlson voice
What is going on?

and i wake up in the morning and i step outside, and i take a deep breath and i get real high
I have a little gauge where one end says ‘algorithm and statistics’ and the other has that old ron paul meme that says ‘ITS HAPPENING’
the needle kinda jumped a little but I still think it’s just the computer trying to fry our brains
Yep, apparently about 8 warehouse fires a week on average.
so we hit 16 in a week i’m setting the gauge to half way
Arson, sabotage, call it what you will, but I call it “terror”. Pay us enough to live, who benefits?

The only remarkable thing about Ontario Warehouse Arson was that the suspect literally filmed himself starting the fires for social media. If there were actually copycats, there would be other people filming themselves starting fires. Industrial fires on their own are not rare or unexpected.
This conspiracy theory is so foolish that it has been done before. In 2022, Tucker Carlson pushed a conspiracy theory that fires at food processing plants were secretly a series of attacks by foreign agents.
there would be other people filming themselves starting fires
Not if they wanna not get caught
sometimes they just do that. The US averages 7 train derailments a day and it doesn’t always make the news
Most trains do not have the ultra hazardous + volatile chemicals on them.
Looks like we’ve entered the :cool-zone:
I was kidding when I said they just do that sometimes
“Firestarter” by Prodigy fades in…
