I’ve seen more than enough stories of people using self driving while it’s not just the car that’s drunk to believe that it’s a thing which has repeatedly happened. It doesn’t need to be true in this case for trusting a Tesla to be a terrible idea.
Their bar-to-home route might’ve been one of the only routes that a Tesla could reliably manage at the time, and even then it’s amazing it managed that reliably enough for this story not to end with the last time not waking up.
