I guess printers really might become the next “friend who has a truck.”
You mean printer that works.
Don’t aim so high
“functions” is good enough
A cheap black and white Brother laser printer costs maybe 150€ and will immediately work when pulled from a cupboard after two years.
Okay but which model? I heard they’re going in on subscription models too.
BROTHER NO
FATHER HEEELLLP
Your post is helpful, informational, and made in good faith, and yet I desperately want to downvote it.
I searched it on Duck Duck Go to verify. Then I tried searching for “no subscription” and “without subscription” and every single result is instructions on how to register your Brother printer for their auto-fulfillment program or talking about how brave and bold they are for offering such a service.
I’m very disappointed, and as an aside, I am reminded that the internet is now awful.- more awful
The era of printers is finally coming to an end.
Libraries are really good friends.
Unfortunately being charged 50 cents a print job adds up quick
My local library system does 10 pages free per day.
Njm1314 has been cruelly betrayed by university print schemes and it shows
Damn that’s nice.
Damn, my copy shop charges 5 cents per page.
I have both a 3D printer and a paper printer… now I just need friends.
and curiously my janky ass duct taped together 3d printer works better than my paper printer ever did.
