      Fascists always have bad ideas.

They aren’t bad ideas to fascists. You just have to understand that fascists consider you tools, not as people. All their ideas will be based on that.

IDGAF about their brain-damaged moral relativism. Objective reality exists, and their ideas are bad (i.e. evil). End of.

In this case it is a bad idea though. Wheelchair bound cripples and dementia patients aren’t going to farm a single crop no matter how many of them you throw into the fields. They’ll die there and the crops will wither away and feed nobody and make no tax revenue

Fascist leaders are good at manipulating stupid people. That does not mean smart fascists do not exist. Intelligence and morality are largely independent qualities, and some fascists are smart assholes, not morons tricked into it.

Doesn’t apply in this specific case, but still: Assuming all fascists are stupid is dangerous; makes it easier for the smart ones to work against you.

Ah yes because my cancer having ass won’t be physically wrecked trying to do work like that.

Do these assholes even listen to themselves?

EDIT: To those responding to me, this is less about me and more about the fact that they expect actual amounts of labor to be able to be done in this way. The job will be done badly, slowly, and inefficiently. The crop will still rot on the vine. Sure, it’s because they want to hurt people, but like all fascist idiots, they fail to see how they’re hurting themselves by reducing the ability for the wealthy to still actually turn a profit. Hard to profit off of a harvest that rots on the vine because your medicaid recipient workers literally cannot do the job fast enough.

    Mocked? Only mocked?

This is one of the most abhorrent statements ever made by a politician that wasn’t in a slavery or open racism era.

They are testing the waters for this and worse. This needs to be spotlighted, shamed, and crushed.

I really want a manual labor job. I can stay in shape and listen to audiobooks all day long. I would happily dig ditches, mop floors, or do farm work.

I can’t afford to have most of those jobs. They don’t pay enough for me to afford to live.

The jobs that do require training and I can’t afford to stop working and learn.

Idk why Conservatives are so happy to force people into jobs that make them worse off than they already are.

This is exactly their plan. Make your existence so miserable and poor that you have to take any job available, even if it’s glorified slavery.

Farm workers are chronically underpaid. Farm work could be good work if it was half as stressful and paid double.

What we need is a reform of the way that agriculture is done. Instead of relying on migrant workers who have no realistic chance of standing up and demanding a good treatment, the working conditions should be made attractive enough for americans to work there again.

Yep…a lot of the people I serve who just so happen to have conditions he targets routinely receive services thanks to Medicaid. And no they are not cut out to work in fields.
