Fascist-enabling media billionaires get sidelined because their fascist leaders have no loyalty? Who could have seen that one coming?

An important figure in nationalist politics in Germany during the first three decades of the twentieth century, Alfred Hugenberg became the country’s leading media proprietor during the 1920s. As leader of the German National People’s Party, he played a part in helping Adolf Hitler become chancellor of Germany and served in his first cabinet in 1933, hoping to control Hitler and use him as his tool. The plan failed, and by the end of 1933 Hugenberg had been pushed to the sidelines.

    Oh. Right.

This serves as the perfect illustration as to why whatever brand of kissing Trump’s ass anyone may be doing or have done in the past will not save you when he decides to turn on you. Rupert Murdoch is probably the number one person on Earth most responsible for getting Trump into office not only this time, but also the last time. And the fact that he did so means absolutely nothing to Captain Cheeto who is big mad at him right now. The Trump regime absolutely will attack and discard anyone – anyone – who has been deemed to have outlived their usefulness.

Business owners. Racists. Farmers. Factory workers. Proud Boys. Conservative pundits. Trump doesn’t care about you. He only cares about himself. Trump will not protect you unless he thinks doing so will benefit him today. Tomorrow? The day after that? Eventually he’ll be done with you, and he’ll make up a way to declare you his enemy, and he’ll come after you. And nothing you did for him before will matter. You’ll be in the exact same El Salvadorian gulag or whatever as whoever he was mad at last week.

Fascist regimes need a constant supply of enemies to pretend that they’re valiantly fighting against, and when the run out of the last batch of enemies they’ll make up a new one. That new batch of enemies will likely contain all the people who they claimed were their allies during the last go-round. There’s precedent. As it happens, plenty of it. Absolutely oodles of examples.

Rupert smiled quietly to himself, satisfied with his role in the destruction of the environment, democracy, and basic human rights.

His only regret was that he wouldn’t be around much longer, to truly enjoy the depth and breadth of suffering he brought to humanity.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Also, it should be way lower considering they’re Nazis now:

Trump receives his best marks on border security, as a 55% majority approves. That’s the only issue where his ratings are in positive territory. On immigration, a record high of 47% approve of Trump (48% disapprove), while a new low of 38% approve on the economy (56% disapprove). His worst ratings are on inflation (33% approve, 59% disapprove), followed by tariffs (33%-58%), foreign policy (40%-54%), taxes (38%-53%), and guns (41%-44%).

It was also below the mark Fox polling had found for former Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and George W. Bush after 100 days.

Link to poll, it’s worse than it sounds: https://www.foxnews.com/official-polls/fox-news-poll-first-100-days-president-trumps-second-term

Edit: This article talks about comparing previous presidents. The Biden one has gotta hurt little tiny hands:

By contrast, at three months in, former President Joe Biden’s approval rating stood at 54%, 10 points higher than Trump’s.

During the same period in their first terms, Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush boasted even higher approval ratings of 62% and 63%, respectively.

Trump’s 44% rating is also 1 point lower than his approval rating at the 100-day mark during his first term in 2017.

Trump and Rupert should fight on tv to solve this I’d pay per view that, as long as they can guarantee its to the death. Trump could finally show us all what a big man he is.

Isn’t this just a kind of admission that polls are rigged? Why would get mad at the pollster, unless he assumes they could determine the outcome at will?
