The more money, the more speech. you know, the American Way™

fuck! i just stepped in some

liberal hippie bullshit
To someone like him, that’s the equivalent of putting in like $50. The obscene wealth of these people is genuinely impossible to truly grasp.
And the same people lecturing YOU on “toxic empathy” are also the same people who would spend days in grief if we ever took away porky’s bribery funds….because stealing is wrong!
i have to believe this won’t reach the populace that hasn’t already made up its mind, what difference can it really do?
The figure is “more than $276 million since July,” so I dunno when exactly that spend was happening. Conventional wisdom says that barring an October surprise voter sentiment is largely baked in by labor day.
If it didn’t work, why are they so desperate to spend the money?
You realize prior to every election there is a surge in google searches for what a particular candidate stands for or means by something?
How much work would it take for you to make your point to a hundred people? A thousand? Enough to swing an election? Vastly different amounts each. But with a quarter billion at your disposal, do you think you could get that message out nationally? Maybe hire some celebrity faces to make the message more appealing or easier to swallow?
I reiterate, if it didn’t work then they probably wouldn’t be doing it.
they’re not especially rational, elon in particular. they could just be used to it getting them what they want even when it turns out not to make much difference, but it’s enough to fund social media campaigns i guess.
And your average person is more rational? Like the ones that actively worship these dopes or even worse, can’t be bothered to inform themselves enough to form an opinion before election day?
Like I said, if it wasn’t a tried and true tactic to spend MILLIONS of dollars during an election cycle to move the needle, the greedy rich wouldn’t spend a single red cent.
I found a YouTube link in your post. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
