Apparently this is poorly translated and it’s not an “ai-generation” machine; but rather a generation (think generation as in boomers or millennials) that has grown up with AI…
I don’t know if it means anything at all, aside from saying basically they’re working on an engine that will appeal to young people who are used to AI or something.
I was going to say that I don’t think you can actually have an engine that works and incorporates AI at the same time. The engine needs to be consistent and have specific things it can and can’t do, it can’t just make things up on the fly like AI does, any game like that would at best constantly shit itself and fail to have any sort of consistency, and at worst would just brick itself and not work at all.
Awful news

least clickbait ign headline
is capcom using generative ai in some way for their games? yes, literally every major game publishing studio in existence is (unfortunately)
are they doing what the headline is saying? it doesn’t say “ai generation” as in generative ai, it’s 世代, “generation” as in “time period”, so you tell me lol
this isnt about generating games or assets with AI, its basically just unit testing and bug testing based on source code/log dumps (which llms are very good at because their entire existence is pattern recognition). this is basically just calling old tools that have been in use for decades “ai”
ign too busy using ai translation to ai generate articles about ai generation i suppose
