From the casting to the writing, to the weird political messaging and now this penultimate episode just getting super weird with it. I hate cape shit but I do love good scifi and it is really hitting the latter.

it’s good because it’s about people and institutions not the actual capeshit. it’s like how that dean cain superman show was good because it wasn’t really about superman doing super shit.
they can still fuck it up and say the abuse was justified.
I had Dean Cain and Howard Dean flipped in my head, and this comment was much funnier for it.
the success of this show and true detective season demonstrates the winning formula of having a buddy cop show where both guys kinda hate each other
I haven’t watched it yet, does it confirm that Jon Stewart has seen stranger things?
He only watched the first season
i like the construct Hal and his evolving relationship to Stewart. it’s an interesting mix that snuck up on me with its emotional weight.
Yeah both actors are amazing
i’d guess it’s because it possesses something that is almost impossible to find in cape shit: charm
Sorry nerd, but until they add my boi Larfleeze, then the lanterns show cant be more than a 6/10
David Lindelof sure has the ability to churn out some decent stuff. Too bad he has to flip a coin before writing anything, and if it lands on tails he just phones it in.
i can’t do superhero shit… i just can’t
It really isn’t superhero shit and that is what makes it so good.
The best superhero shit is lowkey about how superhero shit is inherently lame and hokey
