I’ve always referred to it as Memphis Design, as it comes from a design group called Memphis Milano.

          TIL, thanks!

          From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis_Group#Impact

Jasper Morrison, the renowned British furniture designer, recalled the “cold sweat” and “shock and panic” he felt upon his first encounter with Memphis products

In my head he’s Anthony Stewart Head and his reaction is delightful.

I looked up fiorucci and found a fashion brand. Are they where that 90s graphic style came from or have I misunderstood?

Tats that will not age well.

The lines are too thin and the detail is too high so its gonna smoosh.

Why would the ancient city of Ur be going to a garage sale? I don’t get it.

No, Ur fucking is a prerequisite for you going to the sale, it’d be preposterous to imagine a city going to a garage sale.

Curious on the lifespan of some of the lighter lettering.

How long would the finer detail on this thing really last? Especially considering the lighter/thinner tissue on or around feets?

Per my tattoo artist, it depends on the thickness of the dermis, how well you adhere to post-tattoo healing instructions, your general lifestyle choices regarding friction in that region, and sun/chemical exposure. And probably other factors I’m forgetting.

      So…it varies a LOT.

He recommended strongly against super fine lines in general; anticipate the image of the tattoo will blur just a bit and consider of that slightly blurred state will still look good. One of his clients got a wedding band tattoo of a stag head - intricate antler pattern, whole 9 - advised against it, client wanted to go for it anyway so he agreed. Couple years later that dude was all over his social media bitching about how terrible of an artist he is for his now-blurry-as-fuck stag head tattoo lol.

Now he just won’t do that type of art, cuz even if he warns people, they’ll still come later with torches and pitchforks when the thing he said will happen happens.

I’d think the dermis below the calf is at least a bit thicker than the dorsal aspect of your fingers, so based solely on the ring finger cautionary take, I’d guess the tattoo shown in the OP would look crisp for a year or two, then start looking like it’s increasingly out of focus.
