China’s the only thing that gives me any hope about anything. It’s the only place that seems to be improving the lives for anyone, ever, at any real noticeable pace. And this shit is just incredible, and something that would be entirely unheard of in America, like can you imagine some city in the U.S. gets destroyed by floods but there’s a fleet of fucking rotor drones airlifting out individuals? it will never happen. The cost could be nothing and they’d say it’s too much expense. This place is already a rotting carcass.

What is that blue patch of solid color on the right side? It looks like someone went over it with the airbrush tool in MS paint. Would Ai leave that or has someone covered up something?

I think it was a mask for an img2img pass that then didn’t happen and got missed. Like reexamining it it’s 100% ai: the drone is nonsense (and looks nothing like the real drone that the actual news source showed a shot of, which was a quadcopter with a very, very long tether sling instead of a silly short full seat right below the blades and body), the reflections are wrong, the boats are weird, and I’m sure there’s more, so I think whoever was working on it was iteratively going through and masking out parts with the worst artifacts to regenerate and then was interrupted and sent it unfinished or fucked up and posted one of the in-progress files by mistake.

Can’t find this particular image source but here’s one from the Global Times with a shot the rescue personnel drone from the ground:

      https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202607/1365596.shtml

Idk what it is about the OP image but it js giving me AI vibes (i mean there are multiple things about the image that make me suspect that it’s mkst like ai sloppp)

Possible source for OP’s image, which has AI in its tags https://pandaily.com/china-drone-rescue-low-altitude-economy-jul2026

i thought it was supposed to be vietnam at first. architecture looks more vietnamese. looks like what a racist llm would spit out if you put “china” in it. it’s supposed to be guangxi, which has landscapes similar to northern vietnam, but i don’t know if there’s any village in china which looks as rural as this picture, only 100+ year old buildings with pitched roofs.

also artifacts everywhere. the trees in the water don’t make any sense, just weird lines and splotches
