September is a weird liminal space. Summer is spiritually over but the cozyness of autumn hasn't began yet. It's like sitting in a waiting room or purgatory. I'm grieving another wasted summer. It's the most depressing month for me
My week was kinda garbage, I was too tired for running and meditation. I still tried to make some progress, made 15 bean burritos for meal prep. Next week hopefully I'll be able to get back on the horse
Beyond politics, Adolf Hitler was someone's husband, son and dog owner. Remember that first, before engaging in whataboutism. Political violence has to stop by all sides.
Libs are smooth-brained organisms who think that every horrible thing you did in life is forgiven if you die in tragic circumstances. By that logic, Hitler is a saint since he tragically died at a young age by suicide. "I don't agree with his politics but we should send thoughts and prayers to Hitler"
You know how people refer to India and China as the Elephant and the Dragon? We should start referring to the USA as the Donkey or something. Somebody should write a book titled "The Downfall of the Donkey"
There is no way that the shooter is a leftist. When they find the shooter, they are gonna look at his google search history and find stuff like "who is the president?" and "what is politics??"
Having your own Wikipedia article is our generation's equivalent of going to Valhalla. It's the same as the trump shooter, people just want to be the main character.
I started playing Jedi Survivor this week and it's fun. Luckily I haven't had any performance issues so far (8 hours in) so my experience is only positive. Lots of people complained about performance, especially at launch. It still has a Mixed rating on Steam because of it.
I'm not silking my song yet since I haven't finished the first Hollow Knight yet. Besides, the stuff I've heard about the increased difficulty sounds terrible. I'll probably just play it with mods when I get to it.
My week wasn't great in terms of mood but I managed to make some progress. I went running on 3 days in a row. Practiced meditation on 5 days in a row. Did some reading on a few days.
These three habits are now my pillars and it is something that I strive for every week. I invite everybody to take The Moonlake Challenge - every day from Monday to Friday:
Run for 10 minutes
Meditate for 10 minutes
Read for 10 minutes (before sleep)
It's only 30 minutes total per day so it's something that I can sustain long-term. After many years of self-improvement, I think these habits are the best bang for your buck. Maximum results for minimum effort.
I frame it as a challenge since it's more fun that way but it's just something to strive towards, it's not reasonable to expect the 15/15 score every week. Let me know if anybody attempts it
Making music is not only improving yourself but you're also making the world better. One of my improvement goals is to spend more time finishing and recording my songs. What software are you using?
