This meme was created before having fucking eyes was invented by John Eye which is why the massive red circles are necessary

So an interesting theory I ran across was a shell was built first and the pyramid was actually built starting from the top. This would explain why they were so precise.

Since we’re sharing pyramid theories I saw one recently hypothesizing that for the first step pyramid they used a system of hydraulics to lift the blocks up a shaft in the center

They couldn’t start from the top with that attitude.

I was just going to say. Ofc it would be possible. You would just need a lot of energy and a massive fork lift

Thanks red circles. I wouldn’t have gotten the joke otherwise.

Went to take a new screen cap without the red circles, however YouTube has fucked their UI so much it doesn’t show the full comment without expanding the whole thing and you can’t get the thumbnail in because of auto play.

I hate YT so damn much.

I don’t know, all my cattle kept floating into the neighbor’s yard. One even hit the big glass dome that separates the sky from the heavens and got smited.

This is how some people sincerely talk about war crimes.

Like it wasn’t fucked up until someone wrote it down.

If you are here asking: “Is this a science meme?”

Probably, yes. We use the Dawkins definition of meme: a replicating idea, not just an image macro with a fact on it. A good post here doesn’t need to teach you something. It needs to make you ask something: who, what, where, when, and especially why or how.

Science isn’t a filing cabinet of facts, it’s a conversation. For example, a photo of an eel or other localized wildlife counts because most people never see one, and wonder is the first step of inquiry. A car meme counts if it makes you curious about what’s under the bonnet. If you want to talk about something you noticed in the world, chances are someone else wants to talk about it too.

We moderate for vibe, not category. Pruning is light, especially where a post creates interesting discussion. Experimenting is encouraged.

See the pinned paper on Shitposting as Public Pedagogy if you want the academic case for why this works.
