Wedding receptions can go a little awry if you’re not careful. Down the years they’ve been known to be derailed by drunk bridesmaids, dodgy DJs, shocking speeches and poorly thought-out seating plans. This Wisconsin ceremony, however, takes the (wedding) cake.

Fuck I fucking love cheeky humor in my attempted homicide news. Thank fuck we got writers respectfully smoothing the edges out of the daily gun violence. Gotta laugh, right? Hahahah. Ha. Ha.

Using your hands to eat meatballs isn’t generally considered a criminal offence …

    It should be.

If he was eating meatballs from his own plate there isn’t much reason to confront him, but it looks like from the article he was using his hands to eat from a serving tray.

I just wonder what goes through someone’s head to shoot someone over being confronted for being gross. Im assuming the groomsman knew the people or at least some of the people in attendance.

Most weddings have open bars so that may provide a little insight here.

I have been every level of drunk possible, and I’ve never wanted to murder someone. Why would you even need a gun at a wedding?

Count yourself lucky. Some of us (including me) are belligerent drunks. It’s one of many reasons I cut myself off at two drinks, on the rare occasions when I drink at all. Though in my case, it was more about getting in fights rather than shooting people. That’s one benefit of not owning a gun.

They are Americans. They need guns for everything. Weddings, nightclubs, schools, etc. It’s just part of their culture.

It’s not you or I at this wedding, but gangsters and yahoos. I have never brought a gun to a wedding either, because I’m not an asshole. But many people if insulted, especially if drunk, will go into the trunks of their car for their heater and use it.

It’s stupid, but that is where we are at, for like 4 decades minimum. We are a fucking dumb society.

A question is whether it is by design or not, it is. By design, to justify a police state.

My mother’s family come from one of the southwest desert states, and I’ve read memoirs written by family members about the 1880s to early 1900s where gunplay was an even more common feature of life than it is now. Not OK Corral sorts of violence, either. Typically it involved domestic violence (shooting a partner, the person having sex with that partner, or both), disputes over land and mining claims, or drunken bar fights that escalated. I recall elder family members who had souvenirs from knife fights too (“Grampa, what’s that scar on your face from?”).

As Rap Brown put it: Violence is as American as cherry pie.

A question is whether it is by design or not, it is. By design, to justify a police state.

By design, or at least by malign neglect, to kill off the urban working class. And to justify a police state.

That is true, very true, not just in the west, the midwest was even worse in many ways perhaps.

But it’s a world apart from what we have going on now. Apples to mechanically separated concentration camp animal farm meat.

The future fucking sucks, but I digress. Yes violence was at the heart of conquering a continent, but the post war era is a different beast than what came before. This design is to take from the working class what they wrested from the rich during the great depression and with the labour movement.
