One of the major yearly exams got leaked in India last month so the BJP has been trying to suppress that news for some weeks now.
So they’ve launched a racism campaign against China where Indian bot accounts have “discovered” a secretive caste system in China which apparently is worse than the Indian caste system.
They’re using two things to support their claims:
- Four Occupations System which has not existed for centuries
- Hukou system which is the Soviet Internal Passport system
This is just 100% cope to feel good about living in a failing state that is India.
Indian here, uh the BJP govt sucks - I still have hope for this country though, just one reddit ss, wouldn’t sum up what you are saying, the BJP govt is not trying to suppress the news I don’t think instead they are doing stupid shi like banning telegram lmao. I would say India get a lot more racist attacks in the internet, whenever I say I am from India, people have this kind of “disgust”.

The ruling party win elections because they support the beloved religion followed by the majority of people in this country, but that should’nt be a reason for targetted attack on everyone living here, there are somany good people here too , trying their best for making stuff better you know.
Burgerlander here. A lot of it is coming from plain old ignorance and the few experiences crackers have with Indians being negative.
Imagine living in a place that is basically white with some redlined black neighborhoods. Everyone around you is almost a copy+paste of each other culturally. You don’t know of any Indian people personally but the news tells you they are replacing office workers. Then you know your mee maw almost got scammed by some phone call where the person on the other end had a thick Indian accent. Easy to be casually racist when this is reality for a huge chunk of America
