One of the major yearly exams got leaked in India last month so the BJP has been trying to suppress that news for some weeks now.
So they’ve launched a racism campaign against China where Indian bot accounts have “discovered” a secretive caste system in China which apparently is worse than the Indian caste system.
They’re using two things to support their claims:
- Four Occupations System which has not existed for centuries
- Hukou system which is the Soviet Internal Passport system
This is just 100% cope to feel good about living in a failing state that is India.
Why are Indian nationalist are this unhinged? Idk the internal racial dynamics of the India, but every time I see a nationalist Indian they always make an insane remark about other people.

Living in India is hell and these people can’t cope with it. So they start believing that India is an utopia and other countries are inferior to India. Then they just go insane with Hindu nationalist fervor.
It’s actually incredibly depressing because the conditions in India are dire and the collective delusion among a subset of the populace (ie Hindutva) makes one want to pull their pubes out. It’s a unique psychosis, a group of people swimming in a sea of poverty insisting they’re actually doing really well. Hard to even compare it to MAGA or the settler state of Israel. The only silver lining here is that it’s not particularly harmful to just the vulnerable minorities, in that these people manage to fuck over a vast majority of all Indians instead.
They ruin it for everyone, diaspora and other South Asians included. A communist revolution in this country is needed. I am more optimistic than most because the vast majority of India’s online presence is composed of the type of people who’d get overwhelmed by a Maoist style revolution should the peasant class in India be mobilized.
So the situation is your average Global Southern nationalist trying cope with their situation, but since India has a way larger population we see their weird takes more.
I remember facebook being absolutely huge there as well. I always wondered how much it plays into propaganda cos my indian family before I cut them off would just spam me with random facebook bullshit that was utterly unhinged. You got any views on that?
Facebook and WhatsApp are what drives the BJPs propaganda. They legit wouldn’t be able to brainwash people without those platforms.
Insane amount of nationalist propaganda in the media and school like national anthem before every movie screening by law, films glazing the military, if you cricise the military the average liberal and conservative will both yell at you “our soldiers shed blood on the border for us” it’s like script everyone has memorised. Also nobody gives a shit about the social sciences.
