The absolute ghoul of this temp agency totally lied to me about the location of the job.
My agent told me that it would be in my city in the initial text… it’s not. It’s actually in a totally different county and amounts to a 3 hour bus ride a day. Are you fucking serious? I can’t actually work that.
Every fucking time I get closer some shit happens… but, hey, I put little faith in this anyway. It was a temp position and based on reviews I’m reading, this place is not secure for long-term work. It would’ve been nice to work for the short term, but since it’s a full-time schedule, it gets in the way of time I can put into interviews and whatnot.
Maybe it’s a bullet dodged, I don’t know.

I’m so pissed knowing that I literally was so close to having a job but got rejected over something as ridiculous as my computer being overwhelmed while playing four 1080p videos at once in a video call with 10 other people. I suspect that’s really not something to get in the way of a customer service agent job, but what the fuck do I know?
Today, I literally applied to over 50 jobs… many of them remote.
I deliberately set out to do this, but I typically do not count how many applications I do. In the past, I’ve applied to around 25 jobs without trying on some days. Doing these 50 job applications took me the whole day because, when I apply to jobs, I use a lot of discernment. I took time to read each job posting thoroughly, ensure that the job will genuinely be a good fit, ensure that I meet its eligiblity requirements, and also verify postings to make sure they’re not scams. Despite it being a Saturday, one job already called me for an interview, so at least there’s that.
Seems like weird stress test for a customer service job. The only reason I could think they’d even test something like that would be for web meetings, but how many times would they be holding video calls under those conditions? I’ve had my computer chug while on large video calls, but we only have large scale meetings like that once a week.

I have no ability to function. I hardly have the ability to type anything coherent here. I’m just done. Today is over for me. I will not be okay for the rest of the day. I need to collect my thoughts and get to a more stable point. I don’t know how long this pain is gonna last for me. I hate everything about the West. I hate everything about whiteness, including these pathetic white Marxists. I want the US and all demonic territories aligned with it to perish.

We need to find a way to discuss racism and how it has historically undermined class solidarity without immediately triggering defensiveness in white people. They just stop listening and start accusing people of having a victim complex, so the conversation goes nowhere. The implication of that filibustering is that we need to meet them where they are if we want to be involved with leftist politics.
On the other hand, this issue is used cynically to marginalize us by identifying our politics as something inherently racist. It is always bad-faith actors who make this claim, but it is more effective than it would be if we could actually face these issues head-on.
Need a real strategy for that. I am going to read some old literature because smarter, more involved people than I have covered this ground. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Nothing I have ever tried has worked. A lot of white people have good intentions (or at least think they do) . They know that being racist is bad but have very little understanding or curiosity about the mechanisms, biases, and beliefs that ensure its propagation. Very similar to how men don’t see how other men act towards women because it is often hidden from many of us until we date women and experience it firsthand. So when a video comes out of some despicable behavior, men think it is just one bad actor and not indicative of a system of oppression. Thus, we do not need to do anything - simply point out bad actions when they occur and pretend that no pattern exists.
I don’t have any idea how to get through these defense mechanisms. Nothing I have tried has worked except just pretending that the left has cured racism with class politics, but that is neither true, productive or satisfying.

For the casual, systemicremoved, imprisonment and lynching of black people that continues to this day?
Anyone who sees non-white people as human would find those implications to be intolerable, which does raise some uncomfortable possibilities.
Its like some of them have absolutely no shame. They will find us talking among ourselves here to actually be directed at them and intended to hurt their feelings because we have nothing better to do with our lives. I don’t want to push white people too hard because they need to be part of the solution for progress but something has to give here.

This is a hard question. How do we teach empathy to white people?
I think the best way to combat this is to bring up white people from history who were actually based and not racist. Then explain if someone from 70 years ago during peak segregation/slavery/genocides/colonialism felt these were bad then there’s no excuse now. Basically having a list of white heros(ew) for them to look up to.
They need their egos boosted a bit and can’t relate that well to ethnic folk.
