  • But it's like with cracker, it's never been used to oppress anyone

    :sicko-wistful:

  • Probably palm oil. It's been a common replacement for real chocolate. You mix it with a bunch of sugar and dye it brown to make artificial chocolate.

  • We need a longcat emoji, except it's beanis and it goes even longer.

  • They do. All US ships AFAIK have an armory for small arms in case of emergency, patrols/lookouts, or they have to go ashore for whatever reason in a war zone. They're incredibly strict and of course there's a hall monitor chud who counts every bullet and gun that gets checked out while keeping everything under lock and key.

  • Some of my cousins are literal feds. Not going to be specific because I don't want to dox myself, but yeah. Like they're on first name basis with people who have multiple Wikipedia pages. I will spend the rest of my life trying to undo the damage my family has inflicted on the rest of the world.

I do get a kick out of them arguing with my uncle over Trump. My uncle is also a ghoul, who "doesn't like the guy but he gets things done," while my cousins think "He's unpresidential and unfit to hold office!" My pinko ass is all "You fucks spent your entire lives dedicated to America, what? Did you actually believe in the 'freedom and democracy' nonsense? L M A O."

  • memes @hexbear.net

You may have heard of DLSS 5

  • Try using Guinness in your gravy. Really good with carrots, potatoes, and other roots like turnips. You cook out the alcohol but it leaves a nice chocolate flavor, similar to molé.

  • I am reminded of that time practically all Canada's AFV collection got stuck on a single boat.

  • like we are supposed to assume the government just randomly selected a lawyer to have their career ruined for no reason, I guess

"I was just doing some weirdo fratboy hazing shit and the government said 'What the fuck' and took away my diploma! It was only 228 pounds of cherry jelly, jeez."

  • 2026 World Cup

  • Cartoonists still not beating the excessive label allegations.

  • I am upset there isn't enough beanis nostalgia slop in mainstream media.

  • Mostly Star Wars. The prequels were definitely pandering to them when they came out. A lot of music, too. Especially '80s music.

  • Have you seen Boomers with their Disney and Beatles memorabilia? Or Forrest Gump? I think nostalgia suckers are spread across generations. And it's not like you're gonna see nostalgia marketing for Zoomers because 1) they're like 25; and 2) they don't have any money.

  • It completely ignores how democrats have been complicit in anti-Iranian rhetoric since the US failed to hijack their revolution. The American hostages happened under Carter. Hillary Clinton, Biden, and Harris were all very vocal about wanting to bomb Iran.

This isn't Trump's personal project. This is something with bipartisan support and Iran has been preparing for this war because they know this.

  • That's so bizarre because of how the 1-drop rule is still in effect....well, everywhere. My niece is 1/4th. black and to the surprise of no one, had some issues at school with racism towards her for being black. Like if people think you look like a certain ethnicity, they will treat you as that ethnicity regardless of your actual ethnicity.

Sounds like some black Israelite nonsense.

  • Also, war crimes go both ways. They don't exist as a moral judgement. They exist as rules both sides agree to so war doesn't have to be worse than it already is. If you give no quarter, the cops aren't going to come and arrest you. Instead, the other side will give no quarter. You use chemical weapons? They can now use chemical weapons.

The one that will really fuck with the US if they do kill Iranian POWs is the Iranians have nothing stopping them sinking every American ship they come across and letting the survivors drown. That goes for civilian ships as well as military ships. And no one is going to risk their lives trying to move through the Gulf.

These ghouls think this posturing makes them look tough because they don't care about international law. That's a good way to find yourself in a "find out" phase.

  • What about this demon?

  • Yeah I'm in the same boat. The greatest obstacle to any serious, revolutionary change are the liberals who think their reactionary friends, family, and coworkers aren't planning to have them all lined up against a wall and shot. Actual leftists recognize the danger we're in, have severed all contact with contact with conservatives, and are ready to throw down. But the liberal, especially the "white moderate" MLK warned us about, gets in the way.

They still think this country is salvageable because they believe in the Great Man and End of History. If we simply change the person in charge, we can go back to the way things were at the end of the '90s. Everyone else with object permanence knows the rot started decades before then.
