Professional troll and stay-at-home son.

  • Yeah I'm in the same boat. The greatest obstacle to any serious, revolutionary change are the liberals who think their reactionary friends, family, and coworkers aren't planning to have them all lined up against a wall and shot. Actual leftists recognize the danger we're in, have severed all contact with contact with conservatives, and are ready to throw down. But the liberal, especially the "white moderate" MLK warned us about, gets in the way.

They still think this country is salvageable because they believe in the Great Man and End of History. If we simply change the person in charge, we can go back to the way things were at the end of the '90s. Everyone else with object permanence knows the rot started decades before then.

  • But now that oil is $100 and your material security is minimally compromised you can't be bothered to even lift a finger

I dunno who said it on here, but it stuck with me: Americans don't want freedom or equality, they want comfort.

  • There's been neighborhood drama for me I haven't talked about here because it's an ongoing court case. It involves a bunch of scratched libs victimizing themselves. Whole thing has been deeply unserious. Like no, you're all just asshole white people.

  • What's even more frustrating is they're not even Jewish themselves. All of the mods who threw a shitfit during the "Holocaust emoji" struggle session are non-Jews getting upset on Jewish users' behalf. The actual Jews who use this site were all on-board having a burning Israeli flag emoji.

Another case of Whitey insisting he be the leader at the forefront to demonstrate his "allyship." I swear to God the Autobiography of Malcolm X should be required reading (Malcolm was complaining about the same shit 60+ years ago).

  • He could very well know what everything means, but he's not going to say it and play dumb in order to avoid perjuring himself or implicating people higher up. And the people in charge of prosecuting will throw up their hands as if there's nothing else they can do.

  • Me when I find beanis in badposting:

  • Yeah it's weird how English does this with adjectives and I don't know if there's another language with the same rule. A big, red bar is exactly that: a big, red bar. A red, big bar implies "big bars" are a specific type of bar, like you would say "a red, golden retriever."

  • Hopefully the Iranians blow up Buckingham Palace and say "Whoops! Sorry, we missed ! We were aiming for the Louvre."

  • I really don't understand what's so fucking difficult about it, either.

For example, I am not a woman or queer. There are comms here where people from those groups talk about the issues they face. I recognize I'm going to have blind spots due to my cishet male privilege. Whenever I see them complaining about men or straights or cis people, I know they are venting in generalizations, not me specifically. I know I can offer sympathy, but not necessarily advice. I know especially not to argue, again, because of the blind spots due to my privilege. I know to believe what they say and accept they are coming from a position of good faith, not trolls posting rage bait or karma farming.

So why then is this so fucking difficult for white people from these groups to give the same considerations to PoC? Why is it whenever PoC make complaints they get defensive? I don't encounter this problem when talking about the other group I belong to, the disabled. The only conclusions I can draw are exactly what's been said: they are white above all else, especially above leftism.

  • The subsidies were put in place during the Depression/Dust Bowl and then just....never went away. People were literally starving to death in 1930s America because you'd spend $0.10 growing $0.07 per bushel. The government had to intervene to prevent the situation from getting worse. Fast forward nearly 100 years, farmers are still getting subsidies as though grocery stores and restaurants aren't throwing out industrial quantities of food every day.

  • "Hey Lemmy.World, how's it going?"

    https://lemmy.world/post/44186892

I don't go over there, like ever. Randomly checked today and saw they had the same thread we're talking about now. Just non-stop thought-terminating clichés. And they're not Stormfront, so these libs are just posting fed talking points out of pure love for the game. Anyone suggesting students can't even graduate high school in the US unless they have English credits are all down voted.

  • Nepotism = favoritism to family members, regardless of merit

Cronyism = favoritism to friends, regardless of merit

"Crony" has kinda fallen out of use, especially when "Nepo Baby" is so popular right now.

  • 2 Olympic gold medalists who are both half Chinese, half white. Eileen Gu was being hit with "China bad!" nonsense, so she went to compete for China since she has dual citizenship. As said in the OP, they're both friends because they're both from the same part of California, both have friends/family in the same ethnic group, and both compete in winter sports. Chuds are mad at Gu for winning gold medals for China instead of the US and mad at Liu because she's not a white nationalist who condemns Gu.

  • Dort consumption extends your lifespan probably.

  • I'm pretty sure 38 is 80 in owl years. It's parrots that are at a 1-to-1 ratio.

  • Generals at the time of the 2003 Iraq invasion said they'd need 4 million US troops to occupy the country when we had only 4 million troops worldwide. Bush still went ahead with it and killed a bunch of Iraqis anyway without doing a draft.

  • And you haven't read anything about China's so-called social credit system yet here you are engaging in debate perversion.

  • I admittedly haven't looked into this in painful detail.

You can stop right there and try shutting the fuck up then until you do lmao
