I love the hell out of it, best controller I’ve ever used, but the right stick -> trackpad transition does take some getting used to. For shooters though the precision is almost mouse-like.
I would say it’s like learning to play fighting games on a hitbox. There’s a learning curve but it’s undeniably better once you get over it. Although the real problem with the SC is that all of its advantages are still not as good as KB+M, so unless you have a specific desire to play PC games on a couch (which, you may remember, was what Valve was trying to get people to do with the original Steam Machine) there’s no reason to use it.
Are you using gyro to aim or do you actually have your thumb on the trackpad here? Because I have had one for almost a decade now and i prefer it for everything but fps.

Bullshit. The precision is at best a laptop trackpad.
Having tried to game with laptop mousepads before, no it’s not.

Joystick + gyro is actually good
Obligatory Why Controllers Don’t Suck in Team Fortress 2
This is using the gyro to aim which sounds cool. Using the steam controller trackpad is garbage.
