This actually is a valid assumption that you can make! Statistically, most people who you are able to make friends with are going to be more on the sociable side and are more likely to be more popular and outgoing. If there’s literally anyone in the hobby who is outgoing, it should be possible for them to make friends in it
Besides this being unnecessarily mean, I think it’s also a very unhelpful generalization because even for people with weirdo autistic interests and internet brainrot (I myself am one such person), there are going to be many who are isolated, but still a meaningful number who are more social about it, even if only because they had the same thought OP had.
