  • I know what fly-tipping actually is, but it's mildly funny to imagine a trend of hooligan kids sneaking up on sleeping flies to try to push them on their side, but it's a fly so it just buzzes away immediately.

  • So we're all the same shit experiencing life from different angles, right? Or is that reductive?

I think "the same shit in different configurations" might be a little more accurate, at least when speaking of us compared to other massive bodies like plants or rocks or clouds, but that's probably what you were saying anyway.

  • But like, what if I don't wanna?

This is an excellent example of the liberalism at the heart of the attitudes of many so-called anarchists. You can't run a society where the law is opt-in unless we're casting all of these people into effectively a penal colony where there is no law and warlords reign supreme when they opt out (which I think would be inhumane and amount to cruel and unusual punishment).

Unfortunately for them, democracy does not mean that you get whatever you want, it means following the majority decision. I agree that we shouldn't have government officials imposing unpopular policy on the majority, but if the majority supports a policy for how society should be run, then you can't just go "nah" because that's not how the law works.

  • The context is very clearly that the OOP talking about German officials, though of course from the first comment I made I have been including that their supporters are racists too.

Another point: I agree that Germany has an issue with racism. But how is an ethnostate constitutionally supported? The constitution straight up bans racism in article 3: "No one may be disadvantaged or favored because of their gender, ancestry, race, language, homeland and origin, faith, religious or political opinions."

The ethnostate Germany constitutionally supports is Israel.

  • I believe a V represents five strikes.

  • Also, besides all that, what's the point in saying "well, it's 'just' late stage capitalism"? We don't really have the option of reverting to an earlier stage, do we? If you want capitalism, this is the capitalism you get, so trying to save the sterling reputation of what you imagine older versions to be like when you concede that this is their legacy seems silly.

Obviously this is not what I'd view as the most profound point one could make about the topic, but I think it might be easier for getting someone to think critically about their thought-terminating excuses.

  • Well, a lot of people seem to think that way with how they adopt baby animals of various species and then abandon them when they are no longer babies.

  • I agree. A lot of those team attacks that are great for various reasons, both for being well-animated and having entertaining points of characterization.

  • Most of the Leaf Village cast (and many besides) have kids because that's the premise for the "good guy" side of the Boruto cast.

  • The other person is correct, but to elaborate: The ability of this idea to succeed is ridiculous on its face, since one side has the backing of western-aligned media from several different countries, including the US, which remains the strongest soft power in the world, and South Korea, which is pretty capable and has multiple industries dedicated to this pursuit, and the other side has a bunch of terminally-online communists. You will never achieve any degree of comparability in either output or credibility this way even if you waste your whole life doing it.

Secondly, and I regard this as somewhat more important, by trying to engage in industrial level deception on such ridiculous grounds, you are discrediting yourself and communists generally for fucking nothing.

It's so much easier to just take the line that it doesn't matter if you hate the DPRK, the sanctions are only hurting the people of the DPRK and nukes are the only thing preventing the US from invading them and making things even worse. You don't need to be an ML to understand this, and in fact can understand this as a liberal. Yes, you typically can't get to people by telling them a single sentence, but I beg you to just seriously consider weighing this simple and relatively agnostic argument against whatever level of output and laundering is required to be psychologically comparable to the propaganda mills of several advanced countries combined by just spewing silly bullshit that doesn't have any of the same institutional mechanisms for feigning credibility behind it.

It's complete nonsense. I swear to God that this website wasn't always on the "what if we did socialism but pretended it was a different, anti-socialist ideology with a different name" tier of having just complete contempt for the population and making "strategies" that are literally just wishcasting. If there was ever an actual basis for that "be normal" dogma, it is this, because I don't see how adults can get this way except by being stuck too deeply in cults, the internet, or their own heads.

  • Here are the cutscenes the image is constructed from: https://youtu.be/4to6Xeb1xZ0?t=1152

The rightmost panel is Sarada, who is apparently 12 in this iteration (I thought she was a little older than that, honestly), and the tsundere guy who's naked in the back of the crowd of other naked men presenting themselves to her is Sasuke, her father.

  • Warren isn't Native American, she just pretended to be

  • Central European

I'm begging you, tell me more about the poor oppressed Germans

  • This is a frivolous and counterproductive idea.

  • A bit concerning in-context

  • Flogging?

  • Yeah, talking about being involved with an org is a totally appropriate thing to do, it's her telling you that socialism is when dictator that's not appropriate. It's not like you're particularly trying to radicalize her to begin with, you're just talking about your own life.

  • Yeah, it doesn't seem like a great use of your time and I didn't mean to sound like I was trying to explain socialism to you (again, sorry), I was just trying to think of a very succinct way of countering those sorts of lines.

Probably the most realistic solution is just to tell her that you don't want to hear her opinion on socialism because you have such a limited time.
