I’m pretty sure that’s a socially transmitted preference and not an innate one. There is some level of hypocrisy (and also alienation) involved when people observe sex on film but are revulsed by observing it in everyday life.

If someone broadly prefers lower levels of noise, strawbale insulation can do some amazing things.
