    Preface: I’m not an american

    personally, having a totenkopf tattoo would be mostly a big no but I would still be open to the “I was young and stupid” excuse if it was met with corresponding longterm actions. However “I joined the modern day nazis multiple times to murder people across the world and to guard death and torture camps” is something unforgivable.

    Idk man, it’s very fucking bleak seeing all these supposedly progressive, universalist voices doing so much effort to defend someone who has killed god knows how many people and I can only infer that americans generally are incapable of considering other people abroad as human beings.

    I’m generalizing americans here but reading this thread I’m happy that there are at least a few of you pushing back against this idea, thank you.
