Just to be fair, it’s not just that it “has a gun”, and more that the gun is pointed directly at the protagonist.
Yes it’s largely done for comedic effect and I think the whole removal of the episode is ridiculous, but pointing guns at people is 100% going to cause bad publicity in gun filled US of A.
But they could have easily just cut a few scenes and extended the Pokerap for this episode.

People weren’t complaining, they were proactively censoring to get corporations and networks online.
