Police have also identified the man reportedly responsible for shooting and killing eight children and injuring two women in a domestic incident in Shreveport’s Cedar Grove neighborhood Sunday morning. Police say Shamar Elkins is the man responsible for this incident. Additionally, police say Elkins was the father of seven of the eight children he reportedly shot and killed. One of the children killed was not his though.
I read this and felt nothing. Decades of stories just like this one have completely normalized mass death in my mind. This is in stark contrast to how completely ripped apart I felt by Sandy Hook. Now it’s just “the price of freedom”
If this happened anywhere else there would be outrage and action. I hate this place. Zone of Interest but it’s an entire country.

Sandy hook is a clear example that nothing matters to the ruling elite. We will never get common sense gun laws if someone stalking and murdering 4 year olds with an ar15 doesn’t incite that.

Elkins served in the Louisiana Army National Guard from August 2013 to August 2020 as a signal support system specialist and a fire support specialist, but he never deployed and left as a private, the Army said.
