Looking at the next few months, there are no Foxtrot strips published on Sundays (which translates into Fridays for us).
Would the community rather a day off?
Or should I post the most recent Sunday? (The strip is being written, Bill only does Sunday strips these days)

I like c/Garfield’s approach where current and original strips are posted simultaneously.
So if the older run skipped a day, I would still post one each day by just posting the next one available and also posting the new ones as they come out.
Post nothing, post an archival one, post an edited one. Your group. Your call.

I do not see anything about Bill forbidding it, and I have no issue with it as long as it is not a large number posted at once, or there being to overwhelm the community.
There definitely won’t be a flood. I haven’t even worked out how to pull it off yet.
For !peanuts@discuss.online, I skipped posting from the strip for days without them. For a while, I posted other strips that referenced or parodied Peanuts like this one, which was a good replacement. It was easy to forget to do and I eventually stopped though
I’m fine with nothing posted, just to keep the strips on the current date following the comic
