The Sunny Act could remove barriers and allow all New Yorkers to hang their own solar panels.

Scaffolds all over the place probably makes this less of a risk than it would have been a few decades ago… that said I’m skeptical of how much benefit a panel small enough to hang out the widow would be.

A massive 4ftx8ft panel (~500w) would produce maybe 10% of the average NYC power bill which is roughly 20-25kwh/day.

Giving residents the option to rely on their own solar power and manage power consumption sounds like a win. As far as I can tell, other countries haven’t set themselves on fire either. Last I checked smokers popping cigarettes into planters do quite a good job on their own.

The person you responded to is a Nazi. Their profile reveals that pretty quickly.

You are correct. It’s sad that because of these incredibly dangerous systems Germany is now a burning wasteland. If only they never allowed these devilish systems to be used by millions of household. Rip

none of that is in any way, shape or form relevant for small PV systems

you should look into how these small systems actually work. none of these things are a problem in modern systems
