  • Lol ok, that makes more sense to me now. The only time I've used acetylene was cutting rusted bolts and for silver spin casting to completely liquify little strips.

  • What kind of gas torch were you using to solder the brass? Acetylene? I've never heard of brass melting like that in my (very limited) experience.

    Like I know it's possible since brazing is a thing, just didn't expect it from soldering

  • I think the simple answer is yes 2 sticks is better than one. If only due to the speed increase from moving to dual channel memory.

    Also, you may want to check ram prices again, they've literally doubled in the last couple months. Even on ddr4. Used ram might be a substantially cheaper option for the next month or so, until those prices go up too.
