My dad is about to die. My ex-wife wants to know if I need her there. This does not make sense. She’s willing to fly out. I don’t know what to make of this. I guess 33% fewer Hahnlosers.

If you break it down, you really just have 2 choices here. Either your ex-wife is there, or she’s not.

Would having her there make things easier or harder?

If she’s genuine in her offer, and you would like her there, tell her so.

I’m very sorry for what you’re going through right now.

I told her about the $800 last-minute flight, and the problem solved itself. My mom has miles, but she sure as fuck isn’t doing to pay for her flight, despite doing that with my most recent ex four years ago. Nichol just left everyone with a sour taste.

Go be with your father in his last moment and let him know you love him and always have and will be alright and take good care of yourself and your family.

I didn’t get to myself. I wish you all the love and strength, it’s very hard, my sincerest empathy, friend.
