  • I would argue that the Power Rangers are not that odd of a pairing for the Justice League.

Quality of the work aside, both are superhero teams with complicated lore. They could use that highlight differences/similarities in ideology or methodology between the characters to create drama, before setting aside their differences to come together against a shared evil. The bones of a good superhero story are there.

  • Superhero comics are one of those things where I don't think it's possible to jump the shark.

The Justice League itself was kind of an awkward collaboration starting back in the 60s where they brought together a bunch of disparate different comic characters into a shared universe.

That being said, I think a series has jumped the shark when it becomes entirely unrecognizable from its original iteration to the point of absurdity. You would never expect to see a scene where The Fonz jumps over a shark while water skiing if you only saw the first episode of Happy Days

  • Even the sex bots find you repulsive.

This should be a sign that maybe you're looking at a situation from the wrong side.

  • A paypal alternative needs to be accepted in most places for it to be viable.

Basically the only thing that meets that criteria is a credit card. And even then, you're almost limited to Visa and MasterCard as the others aren't always accepted.

  • This is the problem with most dietary restrictions, be it vegan, celiac, or keto.

You can always just make it yourself, but that's not what people are looking for. The convenience of going to the store and just buying a loaf of bread is nice. Making it yourself will never be that easy.

  • These ripping tools can be used to convert YouTube music videos into MP3s for example. This is seen as a major problem by the music industry, which has and is taking legal steps in response.

You used to be able to record radio or TV broadcasts with zero consequence. The DMCA, from it's inception through to it's implementation has caused nothing but problems if you aren't a studio executive

  • Reaction youtube is the lowest common denominator for stuff like this, but if this ruling succeeds, that will be a pretty big problem for the ecosystem as a whole.

Setting a precedent where it is punishable to show part of another video in your own without getting permission for it will make the platform far more restrictive, especially for content that offers valuable critique. Having to actually argue fair use for publicly available content is a step backwards for everyone, even if it means there will be less low-value content out there.
