I spent three days helping a coworker by building a custom report for them.

Zero complaints about the work. Got it done on time.

They bitched because I cc’d another stakeholder, involved in the project, who already knew the work was happening… like…WTF?

DON’T BE SOMEONE WHO COMPLAINS TO A PERSON’S BOSS ABOUT PETTY MEANINGLESS SHIT WHEN THEY JUST HELPED YOU.

ALSO DON’T BE SOMEONE WHO SILOS INFORMATION SO YOU CAN PRETEND OTHER PEOPLE’S WORK WAS YOUR OWN.

Motherfuckers.

I guess next time they ask for help you won’t be giving them any?

Sounds like they wanted to claim your work as their own but you rocked the boat.

In some cases, unfortunately, I don’t have a choice to help.

But will I be going out of my way? Nope.

I have a person at work that I HAVE to help with some jobs. They did this to me on a big job so now I will only guide them, I never help.

I make them ask me for everything. They don’t like to do that so I get to watch a lot of bad decisions. I also turn every question about any our projects right to them so they get to show everyone how much they know. They have been pulled off of a few jobs. Their time is limited. Lol.
