Schoolboys in a New York City school circa 1897.
I’m calling bullshit on the photo, none of those supposed “kids” are smoking.
The ciggies were confiscated that morning by “The Boss” - the kid in the trilby. He didn’t really understand what photography was until his teacher told him that his parents would be proud of him. His parents would see the photo. His mom would have punished him for smoking by washing his mouth out with soap.
That’s a helluva old hound dog you got there.
Crazy to think they could plausibly have grandchildren that’ve already died from old age.
The great rarity of photos makes them precious too. Imagine people ~130 years in the future considering our era. There’d have bajillions and bajillions and bajillions of photos and vids to choose from. Where would they even start?
“Let’s open up this fuckin pit!”
Poop training.
We’re all dead!
I can’t wait to die in the Great War!
Not a caption, but I really dig the vibe of this room.
