US Senator Lindsay Graham has just tweeted an article titled “Greta Thunberg sets sail with Gaza flotilla that aims to break Israeli naval blockade,” adding the comment, “Hope Greta and her friends can swim!”

Australian Zionist think tanker Arsen Ostrovsky somehow outdid Graham, tweeting “Oh look, the little jihadi Greta Thunberg is trying to get into Gaza, to show solidarity with Hamas. It would be so sad if something were to happen to her flotilla…”

There’s not a lot that can shock me about Israel and its supporters these days. But if you’d traveled back in time a few years ago it would be hard to explain to someone how we got to a timeline that includes Israel supporters openly advocating the assassination of Greta Thunberg.

the reactionary elite think she’s going to be a future Lenin-like figure and I have no doubt she’ll be dealt with (or at least they will try to).

i mean Thiel has been screaming about her being the anti-christ or some unhinged nonsense. the ruling class is not doing well

Rachel Corrie wasn’t a famous EU liberal darling before they ran her over though. Even though I’m sure the entity is salivating over nuking pflp-octoplushie she may actually be too famous for it to be worth it

lol Greta lost her darling status the millisecond she said anything pro-Palestine. If they killed her now vampire Ursula would release a statement praising Pissrael

Would it? idk if she publicly supported Palestine at that point, but supporting human rights is like a basic part of being a good person.

Israel starting a straight up genocide wouldn’t be unbelievable. Its supporters rabidly hating and wishing death on supporters of Palestine is basically a given. And they never really needed to be covert about it, they have the backing of the US government.

She’s simultaneously too famous and not harmful enough for them to directly kill her with the IOF. Most likely, they’ll try to find more clandestine means, starting with siccing fascist goons on her and letting them do the dirty work. I put Hasan in the same category as well. He and she really need to think about security.

I don’t think they have any qualms, but just because the Israelis are racist Nazi genocidaires, don’t assume they are entirely irrational.

Killing Greta and everyone on that boat would be a PR disaster. Of course Israel will take a PR hit if they think it will bring them closer to their goals. But killing them doesn’t serve a purpose that simply boarding their boat and arresting them wouldn’t do (which is how I think this all ends IMO). If Greta and co. were armed I might feel differently, but stopping the boat in non-lethal ways serves the purpose and most people in the west will just shrug and say “eh, at least they didn’t kill them”.

That’s kinda the danger of all this discourse how obviously Israel will blow away that little boat. It’s setting that up as the expectation so anything less will feel like a relief.
