An Arab nurse was turned out of a shelter by people he’d treated. Not surprising; it’s a story of racism I hear from the UK as well; of patients who refuse care by non-white doctors, or take the help but treat them in racist fashion.

Also another case of people being turned away including Druze and a woman wearing a hijab:

How the fuck did the arab Israeli citizens convince themselves that they were ever accepted in Israeli society?

They’ve spent ober 2 years massacring YOUR EXTENDED FAMILIES in Gaza and the West Bank, and the reason you’re not in a shroud is only thanks to the accident of birth that placed you within the least repressive zone of Israeli occupation.

People have been marching on the streets calling for the eviction of arabs across Israel, and polls showing that most “Israeli Jews” (Europeans) are more than supportive of sending you to Negev along with the Gazans. Arab Israelis are still 2nd class citizens thanks to laws passed in the Knesset BEFORE the genocide began.

I used to consider the silence of Arab israelis solely evidence of the intense subjegation they suffer under Israeli rule, but I wonder if some of it also comes down to their genuine belief that they’re convinced the chosen people includes them too.

There ARE many Arabs in Israel who stand with Gaza, but unfortunately I don’t know if it’s a lot; I know there are Arab Knesset members who speak up against the war, but obviously are booed by the other members.

The Arabs who think they’ve become accepted members of Israel probably think they’re seen as ‘the good ones’; they don’t realize that position is a very slippery one. I recall reading posts by Chinese people on twitter about the Asian diaspora who HAVE to badmouth China/adopt an anti-China stance if they want to be accepted by their peers; unfortunately for them, one single word that can be construed as pro-China and their loyalty is immediately brought into question, and consequences levied.

So many of these people who think they’ll be seen as ‘the good ones’ don’t realize they’re trying to appeal to people who hate them intrinsically.

        Tokens.

There’s always a token arab that goes with them on their “holidays” abroad.

Even occupied West Bank areas, like Ramallah, have arabs trying to integrate with ‘israelis’, even dancing with them at their illegally built night clubs listening to their shit psytrance and radiohead
