    This comic is nonsensical.

Republicans hold family ties as a tenant of their political ideology.

Democrats are fine with telling every family member they have to fuck off and die over political differences. They also love to self flagellate because “Thanksgiving is fucking evil!!”

It’s absolutely insufferable Democrats that would not be attending Thanksgiving.

Republicans hold family ties as a tenant of their political ideology

“My MAGA second family, as much as I’m embarrassed to admit this, oftentimes took precedence over my actual blood family,” he said. Looking back, he said his immersion in the world of MAGA strained relationships, including in his family.

      Source

Also, are these family tenants why conservatives readily kick their gay kids out of the house? I met a few of them as a volunteer back in the day.

Democrats are fine with telling every family member they have to fuck off and die over political differences

Similarly, all the people I know who went no contact with their conservative family members were due to abuse.

Face it, conservatives of all ages are hostile towards anyone who doesn’t follow their ideals. They dominate online harassment and death threats over political differences, pushing their ideology to exterminate a good portion of those they don’t like. Calling for a second civil war and WWII-style concentration camps doesn’t spell out peaceful family members if you ask me.

Blaming liberals for what conservatives perpetrate is clutching pearls.

Family is more than just sharing the same dna. Family is being supportive and understanding of each other… and if certain members want to demonize people for being different, then they arent being very supportive or understanding.

You got triggered by the comic, didn’t you?

The guy is an insufferable ass, where the thing he’s looking forward to most is pissing off his family at turkey-day dinner.

Disinviting a disrespectful ass who’s absolutely going to provoke a fight isn’t political- it’s just good sense.

(And let’s just be honest with ourselves, republicans at large, not even just MAGA, at least resemble this guy.)

You seem to be having trouble understanding this comic. Thanksgiving is being hosted by his relatives, who don’t want him there. Millions of Democrats host thanksgiving dinners every year. This would be one of those situations where he’s being told to fuck off over political differences (though it’s really more about he’s built his personality around those differences and desires to harm other family members with them)

Being so obnoxious and harmful that your family doesn’t want to be around you is not a commitment to family ties, it’s a commitment to your own ego.

Why shouldn’t they? Opening their minds and readings opinions outside of their bubble is not something negative

It’s absolutely insufferable Democrats that would not be attending Thanksgiving.

The joke is that the Democrat family isn’t inviting the Trumpet, not that the Trumpet decided not to attend
