If there is any movie that deserves no spoilers, for the love of god and by the grace of allah, it is this one.
Holy fuck what a film.
That’s all that I will say other than …
Tap for spoiler
I can’t think of another film that leaves the big reveal until the FUCKING END CREDITS
Tell me why its not another billionaires bad movie but with more overt messaging because capital is manufacturing consent by green lighting this
I mean, sure yeah I guess you could interpret it that way. Although I also felt that it really hit on

How “addicted” our society / system is to fossil fuels, and that it’s the life blood of our economic system, and no matter how much we might want to stop pumping oil we cannot help ourselves. But, come to think of it, without a critique of capitalism, that rings kind of holly doesn’t it.
In any event, though, I thought it was a great film.
Yeah, it came so close to naming capitalism without actually doing it, would be interesting to hear how/why they did that
I thought it captured the feeling of cratering towards a catastrophe that is somehow an inevitable force of history, but also completely a result of specific decisions by specific people.
semi-spoiler
I also liked the disorienting half-real/half-meta atmosphere
Politically it was flawed/shallow in some ways, but it made a better attempt than most
My partner and I got about 30m in before we tapped out. She was wasted and probably couldn’t tell what was going on, my feeling was that it would have been a good skit or short film but wasn’t doing enough to fill 2 hours.
To be fair, not a film to be seen wasted. I can understand why that might not have landed well.
High as balls? Absolutely. Drunk af? Certainly not.
I’ll give it another attempt, then. Thank you.
it’s digg or get dug, and buddy, i digged
Brought dad along and he felt like it was an 8/10, only framework he had for a movie as weird to him as it was Backrooms (which we also saw together)
ONLY CLICK UPON DIGGING DIGGER
tbf the end credits reveal was kinda built up to with the third act rehearsal segment where they debate on the values of realism vs dramatization
spoiler
Yeah that definitely went over my head lol. I did not pick up on that.

I really liked that hit’s home how bad the catastrophe was, and how Jesse Plemmon’s character sees it as a moot point,
where did you download it from?
you did download it didn’t you?No I saw it in theatres :P I doubt it’s available to 🏴☠️ just yet
