My sister’s history teacher was talking about politics and did the horseshoe theory bullshit. I don’t expect any better from an American school.
He used the Burger King crown as an example of how both fascism and communism become equally bad. The Burger King crown. This country needs to be boiled in order to sanitize it.
Gommunism is when burger.
Ask if the middle bit is when funding/arming a genocide is ok
lmao I remember polysci 101 getting this level of analysis in college, it’s wild how bad political education in America is
I need you to explain the burger king crown anaology. Wtf did he mean by that
Because it latches in the back. So you start out with it flat to represent left vs right and then you wrap it around to form the crown
Wow
Indeed
I’d heard that as the politicial circle. Glad to hear the analogy has been flame-broiled.
I’m ngl, the use of something people are probably familiar with culturally is good pedagogy. It’s just a trash understanding of how the world works. Like the flat earthers of political literacy.
Yes, it is. I’m sorry OP, get used to it
I treat my own country’s state affairs like a circus most of the time. It’s a neverending shitshow.
It’s pretty entertaining until you realize that some of the shit they’re doing also affects you, lol.
It’s a coping mechanism for the fact that the prices of most products (especially food) have gone up 2-300 percent in the last few years. And the country is burning and nothing was done for it. It affects me, and everyone here, except for anyone with a stake in real estate, private companies, or government workers in high positions. When the most leftist org in your country is questionably left, it’s kind of hard to start something on your own.
Recently someone told me that capitalist critical Eastern Bloc literature is actually subversive communist critical literature because both systems are the same as they put an elite class of people at the top. Horseshoe theory! Extremes are bad!
the current liberal world order is not extreme at all of course…
Of course not. It’s the necessary and completely stable balance; the best of both systems.

Usually, when libshits say “reality is satire” they will point to something that is the consequence of capitalism.
