September is Spooky season, I’m in favor of annexing August as well and pushing further into November to drive Christmas back.
If Christmas can start in October, Halloween can start in August.
Let all holidays start 2 months early.
Human: “Hey, Phil. How long is winter?”
Groundhog: “It’s December.”
Costco had Xmas decorations next to their Halloween decorations IN FUCKING AUGUST.
A frozen leprechaun is found under a January snowdrift.
Cupid freezes to death in December.
Be ready for February Fools Day
The US of A actually turned 250 last May
Turkeys, geese, ham, etc are filling the grocery store freezers in September
Feel free to add your own, folks
And I bought those discount Xmas lights in… hell, I don’t remember.
September 1st, I put on a sweater and a scarf.

It’s legitimately early fall on the Maine coast, been hitting low 50s/high 40s at night, dry as a bone and hardly topping 70 during the day. I’m wearing a hoodie in the middle of the day, albeit it’s cloudy, and closing the doors and windows before bed. It’s fucking awesome.
It’s pre-Halloween - the period starting in August when you buy Halloween candy to eat ahead of time before going back on the afternoon of Oct 31st to buy stale replacement candy to hand out.
That ghost looks like the baby from Dinosaurs!
