A smart mug can be set to your desired temperature, get there immediately, and stay there. That being said, as a former Ember mug user, there is no need for that thing to only be controllable through an app. A dial on the side would be fine.

That’s the exact problem a heated mug solves. It cools quickly then stays at your ideal temperature. That’s the point I was trying to make.
