Just out of curiosity, if there was a genetic treatment to permanently cure your lactose intolerance without any side effects beyond that it would alter your DNA and be passed down to any kids you have after the treatment would you take it?
Irl yeah probably. I was kinda having another conversation and the other person was having a hard time with the idea that we may be (definitely are) entering a modern age of eugenics. It’ll start with serious congenital genetic disorders then work its way to more trivial uses and likely Into designer babies.

Why not? Real life is messy with side effects and such, but if that wasn’t a concern, hell yes.

Yeah, I’ve found there’s a lot of emotion and irrationality along people when it comes to the potential of extended lifespans, improved bodies, etc.
