The vote was said to be advisory, but after the vote, the new and subsequent governments acted like it was binding.
More importantly, the EU should not respect votes that strip other people of their citizenship against their will. We’ve seen who else did that, and the EU should oppose them all, every time.
Best they can do is they’ll give you a one-time single-use vote in exchange for Farage’s head on a pike.
