Vorteile liegen auf der Hand: als Berufstätiger hat man einen extra Tag um Einkäufe zu erledigen, statt sich abends oder Samstags durch die Massen zu quälen. Das war während Corona sehr vorteilhaft. Wer in einer kleinen Wohnung ohne begehbaren Kühlschrank oder Vorratskammer lebt und dann das Einkaufen am Samstag verpasst, steht am Sonntag ohne Essen da. Wir haben einen signifikanten Anteil nichtchristlicher Migranten, die keine kulturellen Probleme haben am Sonntag zu arbeiten. Ich würde sogar schätzen, dass diese Gruppe überrepräsentiert ist unter den Arbeitnehmern des Einzelhandels. Auch wer auf das Geld angewiesen ist kann Samstag und Sonntag sich was dazuverdienen. Viele Berufe haben jetzt schon Arbeitszeiten am Wochende. Warum nicht auch für die Lebensmittelgrundversorgung? Momentan kann ich sonntags teuer im Restaurant essen gehen, aber mir nicht selber die Zutaten kaufen? Wem Arbeitnehmerrechte am Herzen liegen, sollte eher auf fairen Lohn für alle, Wochenarbeitszeit, Elternzeit etc schauen.
