Buchanan barely makes the top 10 worst list. Jackson and Wilson did far more damage to the country directly. Heck most of Buchanan’s presidency was just cleaning up the infighting of Jackson’s cabinet. Top 5 worst? Three way tie between Jackson, Wilson, and Trump for first. Polk and either Nixon or Reagan round out the top 5.
Trump has killed far more than Jackson. Don’t forget COVID is literally his fault for removing early prevention people, trashing protocol, and then ignoring it for as long as possible.
True, but Jackson also paid off the national debt, causing the longest and deepest (by percentage of the economy, not by sheer dollar value) depression in the entire history of the country. I’m not limiting damage to just fatalities/casualties.
He’s competing with Buchanan for worst president ever. That even being a conversation should be embarrassing.

Ronnie Raygun has to rank in the top 5 for sure. Most criminal administration in history (objectively) up until that point.
Nixon and Raygun are tied for me. Nixon was pretty damn criminal as well.
