Because that means it is time to pressure China for their assistance to Russia and the Russian’s evil military campaign of genocide and conquest against totally innocent Ukraine which is not full of Nazis and if they are it’s very complicated and you have no right to judge them because what about Russia? What about Russia!!!
The Europeans have this on-off obsession because Russia hasn’t collapsed and as they know Russia is run by primitive orcs while they are intellectually superior and noble white Europeans and so it is inconceivable that the Russians could be beating them and not collapsing! Thus they look for blame and ahaha if the inscrutable asiatic hordes are helping the Russians in their secretive ways, maybe that could explain their endurance and allow the racist thinking of Europeans to continue.
Also there is a push to decouple from and villainize China, to slap them with a Plaza Accord type subjugation economic agreement and they need proofs that Europeans will care about to get buy-in. Also it’s part of your regular programming of China-bad stuff to keep Europeans and everyone else believing there are definitely reasons China is evil and should not be trusted and hated so when the time comes to activate that hatred in a sacrificial way like trade war, regular war, etc people can be counted upon to have programming to build upon.
