  • Doesn’t matter. Just need to keep prices where they are for another 5 weeks and then the midterms will be over and it can be let rip with Republicans blaming Democrats and Democrats blaming Republicans regardless of outcome naturally.

After that the open looting of people’s retirement money via a market crash/panic can begin. That and looting people’s savings and paychecks by raising prices just to buy goods, forcing the proletariat writ large into a more vulnerable and exploitable state and more rentierism to coincide with the push to make private computing unaffordable in order to justify AI and force everyone into the AI panopticon which is the only real reason for AI. Total physical surveillance via Flock, Axon ALPRs, cameras on cop cars, mail vehicles, Amazon Ring cameras, etc all networked together to track your every movement and action in the physical world while the AI shortages will drive people to need cloud terminals or whatever so all their computing habits including thoughts, questions, files, etc can be monitored, sorted, and categorized to create threat scores across the digital and physical domains.

  • Agreed. Russia has been saber rattling with nukes for years since the start of the SMO and by now the west has judged it to be just saber rattling without any teeth as they’ve crossed red line after red line of the Russians without a nuclear response or even a conventional one. The British, Poles, Germans, are pretty convinced short of directly attacking Russia themselves using their troops from their bases that they can do whatever to arm Ukraine to attack Russia, massacre civilians, etc and nothing will come of it their way.

I mean Russia had a real chance to draw blood against those drawing its blood in the Iran war and have they transferred advanced missile tech to Iran in revenge for the west doing the same with Ukraine? No. They have not. At every corner Putin is a coward who cowers before the west in his naive liberal hopes for a rapprochement so his bourgeoisie friends can live the high life in western Europe again and Russia can stop enduring so much war economy.

At this point Russia does need to prepare for total war. Europe is going to attack and invade Russia in the 2030s and Germany is rearming to the teeth with missile tech, missile boats, etc. Their intent is to blunt Russian retaliation (possibly even attempt interception of nuclear weapons) and they probably think they can decapitate the government of Russia. I’m not sure they’re wrong given how corrupt post-USSR Russia is. Killing Putin and his inner circle and taking Moscow could easily lead to Russia bending the knee in defeat and submitting or even fragmenting. Unlike Iran or the USSR before the rot set in there is not this great national unity. They try to stoke it desperately with crude nationalism, religious nationalism, gay-hate, etc but it isn’t really working and many Russians are convinced Euro-liberals who would happily join the EU project as vassals to live in western “democracy”.

I would not be shocked if Germany fields nuclear weapons by the 2030s, it, Britain, France, and Poland attack and invade Russia with the threat being if Russia uses nukes they’ll use nukes as well in retaliation and calling Russia’s bluff. Putin is as likely to be killed by them as he is to surrender being the cowardly liberal he is but either we have nuclear war and Russia as a power is destroyed in the process which works for the US or Russia is bogged down as a power and either defeated and humiliated, destroyed as a power or stuck in a quagmire fighting powerful invaders for years. Meanwhile deep strikes on eastern oil and gas supply lines to China are used to cut China off, that and a new blockade of Hormuz are used to put China in a chokehold economically as the US/NATO squeeze tighter and tighter.

What I am saying is that liberal Putin or someone had better rebuild Russia’s war industry even further, start stockpiling and start training citizens in more depth for when they have to engage in mass mobilization against Europe.

  • This is good, they should continue.

I have no interest in convincing people to abandon the movement or the struggle but I do fear their leadership has sold them out and they face the prospect of tendrils of infection and collapse destroying them in future via carefully architectured plans. Time will tell. Those on the ground have no reason to stop organizing but they also have every reason to prepare for what might be a civil war against elements of their own movement should they turn out to be sell-outs and traitors. At that point they will have either prepared themselves to resist or they will find themselves whimpering beneath the imperialist boot as it all collapses. In the meantime they have quite the fight holding their leaders feet to the fire and making it look to Rubio that the government has limited maneuvering room and less area for concessions while maintaining control in order to minimize what the US can gain. This is to their advantage to strengthen their position should the time for strong resistance come about.

  • Let’s not give them too much credit. They are Islamists, their revolution was a religious one and they have a lot of idealism infecting their analysis which is obvious given the choices and statements they’ve made for decades. They did murder our comrades by hanging them from cranes for being communists and I believe still scorn communism as atheistic and incompatible with the Iranian revolution. We will continue to critically support them as the better choice between them and American-Zionist domination of the Iranian people and region (and for their support of the Palestinian people under genocide) but they are far from an ideal form of government and have and continue to make a lot of mistakes and what correct choices they made are largely last resort after exhausting all other options and being repeatedly hit with a stick by the US and forced into taking these choices.

Anyway this is just basic propaganda stuff and not particularly good given the length and how very few Americans will read it. Their LEGO propaganda is much better IMO. In my opinion I’d try less to reach Americans whose opinions don’t matter in government action anyway and more to reach Europeans to continue to pressure their governments not to engage on the US side in this and to apply counter-pressure on the US however minor to settle. If they want to spur Americans to action they need to force higher gas prices, much higher than now and to do that they need to close the strait more effectively than they’ve been able to thus far to deliver a real price and sticker shock.
