The one resident is right. Cars are currently forced to drive through the residential area, and this lane would solve that problem. I think it’s a better use of funds to reduce noise, toxic dust, and risk of injury in Riverbend than to try and convince people who choose to live 20km away from the city centre to take transit.
with the same logic i can demand that a speed limit of 3mph must be enforced since the cars dont move faster during jams .so people can walk the roads :D
but now serious: what prevents those people taking the bus directly from their homes, or as a connection? is it just laziness and entitlement?
