i tend to go by the original definition. chili with no beans is a texas thing. chili that is more than just meat and peppers (you know, made by people who know how to cook) is an everywhere else thing. but chili is mexican, not texan so i tend to go by la definición más deliciosa.
USA, but we’ve moved everywhere for work/family and living situation reasonings. Now in Europe. Though even while living in Texas for a year, chili has beans there too except for hot dog chili
Stews are thicker than soups but not as thick as a chowder. If there’s more meat/veggies/beans than liquid then it’s a chili
