Edit: Centrism has its place but not when the other major party has gone all-in on fascist authoritarianism. It only works when both sides are agreeing with the same problems and have slight disagreement on how to get there. Centrism doesn’t work when one side doesn’t see all people as humans and are pursuing ethnic cleansing.
Centrism has a place when you have the full political spectrum. Centrism doesn’t have a place when it ends up between center-right (and considering the dems keep sliding to the right I consider that a rather generous interpretation) and far-right.
people like hakeem and schumer, here in cali xavier, they are center right at best, at worst “moderate republicans”. most of the dnc are mostly DINOs and are unelectable republicans. i dont think most of the DNC are even close to being at the center. newsome also more to the right than even biden is telling.
They are not DINO. They are exactly what establishment democratic political leaders are, and have been, since FDR died.

DNC is the other side of the same coin. They should be embracing the progressives, but they have the exact same donors as the GOP. May they all lose their elections, time for fresh ideas and uncorrupted representatives
The “do something” interpretation I have, is the same actions taken by the SPD in response to Hitler. Liberals will almost always hand the nation to fascists if it means maintaining power. Those progressives have an unbelievable uphill battle.
