Hm. Certainly the most tactile experience and it’s great for showing off because it’s much bigger than CDs or cassettes, but if you want to actually use it it’s kinda meh IMO. But CDs are utterly boring and it’s actually pretty hard to find a decent tapedeck (if you buy an old one it’s very likely to have issues with playing at the correct and constant speed, and new ones are kinda expensive plus it’s not actually possible to get new parts and licenses for the old Dolby B/C noise reduction technologies).
Oh man making your own record and it just being your music has gotta be really freaking cool. I still have the demo CDs from my first band because they’re awesome, and vinyl is cooler than CDs to me. If I ever get good enough at producing to justify the cost I’m definitely doing this.
Great advice that probably applies to other forms of art, too. I wonder what’s the most satisfying way to do this for music …
Concert posters! Preferably purchased at the concert. I’ve got a bigass King Gizzard show poster hanging in my kitchen.

Vinyl is cheap and simple enough to get equipment for, high quality enough to enjoy, and don’t degrade in the same way as many other forms of media.
(Yes it can be very expensive too, but so can anything if you want it to)
